Completion of registration forms: Please download the registration form from the congress website, fill it and scan it to the congress secretariat via email afsbt2018@shadesofgreencongresses.com 3. Sending an email to confirm your participation: Please send all your personal details via email to the congress secretariat via email afsbt2018@shadesofgreencongresses.com NB: Participants will receive confirmation of registration upon payment of the full registration fee.

International Member Delegate is non-Tanzanian passport holder but a member of the African Society of Blood Transfusion registering for the event. International non Member Delegate is non-Tanzanian passport holder, who is not member of the African Society of Blood Transfusion to register for the event. This registration also applies to spouses and accompanying persons who shall be attending educational sessions, any social events or vising the exhibition site. Local Member Delegate is a Tanzanian passport holder but also a member of the African Society of Blood Transfusion registering for the event. Local non Member Delegate is a Tanzanian passport holder, who is not member of the African Society of Blood Transfusion to register for the event. This registration also applies to spouses and accompanying persons who shall be attending educational sessions, any social events or vising the exhibition site. A student is either an international or local delegate pursuing medical studies in the field of blood transfusion medicine registering for the event.
Notification of cancellation of registration must be sent in writing to the congress secretariat via afsbt2018@shadesofgreencongresses.com
  • For cancellations received up to and including 10 May 2018, a cancellation fee of US$ 150.00 will be charged.
  • For cancellations received on and after 11 May 2018, no refund will be given, full amount required.
  • Name changes are not accepted, unless the participant is from the same organization.
  • All refunds will be processed after the event.
Travel and Health Insurance It is strongly recommended that participants take out insurance to cover loss (including registration fees) incurred in case of cancellation, medical expenses and damage to or loss of personal effects. The organizers of the 09th Congress of the African Society for Blood Transfusion will not be responsible for any medical costs incurred by participants. AfSBT and the Local Host Committee will not accept any liability for personal injuries or for loss or damage to property belonging to Congress participants, either during or as a result of the Congress or during any tours.

Arrival and departure transfers will be available for delegated but charged, and must be booked onlineAirport transfers will be provided to all delegates participating in the congress. However, they will be provided on shared basis, i.e. delegates arriving or departing on the same flights will be transferred together, which would also provide a room for pre-congress networking. Arrival Transfers There will be a meet and greet desk at the airport, and staff to man it on 24-hour basis. The desk will be branded with congress signage easily recognizable by delegates on arrival. On arrival, please follow the signage leading you the hospitality desk, present your confirmation letter to the event staff at the airport, who will then usher you to your transfer bus. Airport transfers are only provided to all registered delegates who have booked for their accommodation with us at the Ngurdoto Mountain Lodge. If your accommodation has been booked in a hotel other than Ngurdoto, then unfortunately you are NOT entitled for a transfer and additional charges of US$ 50.00 shall apply or one may alternatively take airport taxis. Please send us your arrival and departure details as soon as you have them for logistical arrangements. AfSBT as well as congress organisers shall not be responsible for any inconveniences caused by delayed or missed transfer due to lack of flight details. Departure Transfers Similarly on departure, delegates will be picked up from Ngurdoto Lodge two and half hours prior their flights departure times and transferred to the airport. Again, these will be provided on shared basis and delegates departing on the same flights will be transferred together. Please check out on time, and clear your extras with the reception, reconfirm whether you have not forgotten anything before you are picked up. Unlikely on departure, we will have no desks at the airports, but we will retain a few staff to assist just in case of missed flights, or any other problems that may arise while delegates are checking in. Please visit transfers desk located at the registration area and reconfirm your departure pick up time. NB: Should you wish to leave the hotel at your convenience, unfortunately, these transfers shall provide an extra charge negotiable depending on where you are heading.
